The ISO 9241 standard defines usability thusly: "The extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction in a specified context of use." The literature offers numerous other definitions and descriptions for usability but in the end, these are the core criteria being used to determine the usability of interface design, which is the core topic of this report. The paper discuses usability criteria, who should decide what those criteria are, and how a disagreement between stakeholders must be resolved. There are six sources listed in the bibliography of this three page paper.
