In twelve pages this paper examines how the Muslims (Moriscos) that remained in Spain after the Reconquest were forced to convert to Christianity, the Spanish threat posed by the Ottoman Turk Muslims during this period, the reaction of the Spanish crown, the events which culminated in the Morisco revolt (1568-1571), and the expulsion of Moriscos that occurred after the rebels were defeated.
