There are many different kinds of hotline crisis centers. Every one of them probably deals with repeat callers, some of whom really do need the help provided by these counselors and who are making improvements in their psychological and mental health. Others call repeatedly just to talk. This essay presents a case study with a crisis counselor trainee. An older teenager calls this trainee repeatedly and will manufacturer complaints so that others will transfer the call to the trainee. This essay includes a process for dealing with repeat callers who no doubt have mental problems but who call just to talk. There are three sources listed in the bibliography of this three page paper.
