This 6 page paper is written in three parts. The first part is based on a case provided by the student. A staff member is given a promotion, but the new job does not include merit payments which are part of the company policy, instead the pay rises are uniform for all staff of that rank. The reasons behind this and the potential implications are discussed. The second part of the paper considers how a satisfaction survey may be designed and implemented and what the result may show. The last part of the paper discusses the way a remuneration package may be designed. The bibliography cites 2 sources.
